Congratulations, Mr. President. Hoping you immediately reach out a friendly hand to all Americans. The ones who voted for you. And the ones who didn’t vote for you. The. UNITED States of America! https://t.co/CaEHMCtp1s

in a little over 12 hours, the long national nightmare of the Trump presidency will be over. The stain he leaves behind will need time to be exorcised from our lives. A White supremacist president and the racism he has endorsed has been exposed needs to be ultimately eradicated.

While the general mood is exuberance regarding the resilience of our system, my thoughts are how close we came to losing it, how it shouldn’t be so fragile, and my hope that all the loopholes and flaws in our system get fixed in a permanent way so this can never happen again.
